By default, the choice of a payment method does not alter the shopping cart price.
You can require the customer who chooses this payment method, to pay a fee or receive a discount.
What is this good for?
An easy way to encourage the customer to use the payment method or to ignore it.
If you think that PayPal is taking too much commission, the customer will need to pay a 3% fee when choosing this payment method. Note: the customer may not close the purchase.
Note 1:
Whether you specify a fee or a reduction you can choose between an amount or a percentage. The resulting amount from a percentage is calculated from the shopping cart price without taking into consideration the postage, coupons, or small quantity addition.
Note 2:
It may be helpful to give the customer an explanation as to why he has to pay a fee or get a reduction.
